The services provided by DHS are modeled in line with Boston University Centre for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Template on Group Learning. Tell it, do it, show it. We are committed to providing the highest standards of preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitation services.
Our adult and senior rehabilitation program provides services within the home and in the community, assisting with developing and learning daily life skills from personal hygiene, organizational skills, the right nutrition, and, most importantly, time and money management skills. Individual and group activities are planned in such a way as to provide a self-directed learning experience that meets the needs of the participants.
Youths will receive individual, group, and family therapy to address issues such as drug and alcohol abuse, self-destructive, defiant, or anti-social behavior, and mental health crises such as anxiety, depression, or suicide. We assist in crises stabilization, behavioral modification, and psychopharmacology education.
DHS children’s program specializes in the assessment, evaluation, and recovery goals of children who suffer from developmental and/or psychiatric illnesses. Each child has an individualized rehabilitation plan designed for him or her to cover such areas like medication management, psychological, developmental, and educational skills. With the input of the child, parent, or guardian, fun classes, age-appropriate activities, and field trips are designed to develop and promote the healthy development of the child.
